I'm psyched to have landed this place: a bright (south-facing), bottom-floor 2 bedroom apartment in a small building on a quiet street only a few blocks from downtown Ballard, it has wood floors, high ceilings, a beautiful kitchen with gas range and dishwasher, closet space, and a 2 room bathroom with full bath. Each bedroom is the same size and has a large closet, window, and plenty of space for a queen-sized bed. Laundry is in the building and free street parking right in front is never an issue. There is a large yard for all tenants. The current tenant of this apartment told me the other tenants are very friendly (I met a couple of them grilling salmon in the yard and confirmed!) and the only noise complaint came from her, when she had NPR turned up too loud. In terms of financials, rent is $1595 + $75 flat utility rate + gas (heat and stove) + Internet (Comcast, which has a speed boost on the modem, is about $45). In other words, split between us, that's about $858 p/p + gas, which won't be too expensive since weather during our 6 mo lease period will be warmer, so I'd estimate $925 max total cost p/p per month for what (in my humble opinion) is the best location and best 2 bedroom apartment space in the city! I'll be moving in this Monday, 3/16 (subletting from the current tenants for the remainder of March with our lease officially starting April 1) and would love to meet and chat with any interested folks!
