I just rented a two-floor apartment in Bucktown. The total rent is $2,000 a month. Your share will be $1,000. I am living in the basement, and you will have the top floor. The kitchen is on the top floor, and you will have the main bathroom to yourself. I am including a link to a video of the apartment. The apartment has hardwood floors, is very nice, and is close to the expressway. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. I have a Bowflex xtreme2 se in the unit that you can use. You can use my couch and tv downstairs when I am not home. It is about a 15 minute walk to the blue line, and there is a bus stop a block away that will take you to the Fullerton station, which is a stop for the red, brown, and purple lines. You can also take a bus to the blue line if you don't want to walk. Pets would need to be cleared with the landlord. I don't think they would be a problem, as there are pets in the unit above me. The neighborhood is very safe and nice and very quiet. I'm a 34 year old man new to Chicago from Mississippi. I work in college administration. I am somewhat reserved and quiet but like to go out to the bars/clubs on the weekends. I am liberal and LGBTQ friendly. I would prefer not to live with a regular smoker. My ideal roommate would need to be considerate and respectful. Since I don't know anyone here yet, I would appreciate someone that could introduce me to his/her social circle. A female roommate would probably be a better fit. Someone that could cook for both us would be highly appreciated. The video link is below:
